The Best TV Shows Landing in June

Don’t miss 'The Bear' Season 4, 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 3 – plus fresh drama in 'The Gilded Age' and more action in 'Squid Game' Season 3 (and that’s just the beginning).

As the weather cools down, there’s nothing better than curling up under a cosy throw and settling in for a night of TV. Longer evenings on the couch call for fresh content – and luckily, there’s no shortage of shows to get you through the first month of winter.

If on-screen drama is your genre of choice, this is your time to shine. The nights are getting darker, and so is the TV lineup – from the scheming of The Waterfront and We Were Liars to the life-and-death stakes of Squid Game Season 3 and Ironheart. Whether you're after a slow-burn thriller or all-out spectacle, there’s plenty here to keep you glued to the screen all season long.

1. The Bear Season 4

Where Can I Watch It? Disney+ from 26 June.

Season 4 of The Bear sweeps us back into the chaos of the kitchen, with Carmy's crew still reeling from their rocky transition into fine dining. He's still wound tighter than a spring, while Sydney's ambitions are bubbling over, and Richie continues his unlikely transformation from loose cannon to something resembling a professional. The first three seasons captured the madness of life as a chef – the screaming, the burning, the moments of unexpected tenderness between the disasters. Season 4 looks set to push that formula even further, testing whether this dysfunctional family can actually make it work without completely falling apart.

2. The Buccaneers Season 2

Where Can I Watch It? Apple TV+ from 18 June.

Season 2 of The Buccaneers throws its headstrong heroines even deeper into the tensions between love, freedom, and the expectations of high society. After arriving in London determined to charm their way into aristocratic circles, the young American women now face the consequences of disrupting the old order. Friendships are tested and secrets threaten to surface in this is a show about women refusing to play by the rules. Think Bridgerton, but with more rebellion and bite.

3. Countdown

Where Can I Watch It? Prime Video from 25 June.

For fans of a brooding Jensen Ackles performance (who isn't), Countdown is a new thriller that sees the Supernatural star step into the role of a rogue LAPD detective. Pulled into a secret task force after a Homeland Security officer is brazenly murdered, Mark Meachum is pulled into a sprawling conspiracy that puts millions of lives at risk. Set in L.A. and packed with tension, the show leans into its action roots while giving Ackles space to bring his signature edge and intensity.

4. The Gilded Age Season 3

Where Can I Watch It? Paramount+ from 23 June.

Season 3 of The Gilded Age welcomes us back into the velvet-draped drawing rooms and cutthroat parlours of New York’s elite. The Opera War may be over, but the real battle is just beginning. Bertha Russell is hungrier than ever, chasing a title that could finally cement her family's place at the top – if society doesn’t bite back. Meanwhile, Ada steps into her long-awaited role and Agnes simply refuses to let go. It’s petty, it’s political, it’s opulent – and it’s never been more fun.

5. Ginny & Georgia Season 3

Where Can I Watch It? Netflix from 5 June.

Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia wastes no time in delivering the drama, picking up right where that jaw-dropping post wedding arrest left off. Georgia’s perfect picture of small-town respectability has shattered, and now she’s facing the fallout in a very public way. As the gossip swirls and the law closes in, Ginny is left wondering if the bond she’s always counted on can survive it.

6. Ironheart

Where Can I Watch It? Disney+ from 25 June.

After plenty of buzz, the wait is over. Ironheart kicks off in the wake of the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Taking place in Chicago, genius inventor Riri Williams is back home – and not laying low. Armed with her own take on Iron Man-style tech, Riri is ready to make waves. But ambition has a price, and things get complicated fast when she crosses paths with Parker Robbins, a smooth-talking figure whose powers blur the line between magic and machine.

7. Smoke

Where Can I Watch It? Apple TV+ from June 27.

Created by Mystic River author Dennis Lehane and starring Taron Egerton as a burnt-out arson investigator, this nine-part series turns the hunt for a serial firestarter into a taut, psychological thriller. Teaming up with a by-the-book detective, Egerton’s character is drawn into a case where the fires are only half the mystery. Inspired by real events, there's no doubt that Smoke will bring the heat.

8. Squid Game Season 3

Where Can I Watch It? Netflix from June 27.

The stakes have never been higher in the third and final season of Squid Game. Gi-hun is done running – he’s heading straight back into the belly of the beast, determined to tear the games down from the inside. But with The Front Man watching his every move and new players entering the fold, the line between strategy and survival grows even thinner. Don't miss the ending to the show that took the whole world by storm.

9. Stick

Where Can I Watch It? Apple TV+ from June 4.

After his popularity in the Marvel series Loki, we have high hopes for Owen Wilson in his first starring role on the small screen. In Stick, he plays Pryce Cahill, a washed-up golf pro whose glory days are long behind him – along with his marriage and most of his dignity. After hitting rock bottom, Pryce reluctantly finds purpose in mentoring Santi, a gifted but volatile teenage golf prodigy. What starts as a last-ditch shot at redemption quickly turns into something deeper, as both men are forced to confront their pasts (and tempers).

The Waterfront

Where Can I Watch It? Netflix from June 19.

The Waterfront wades into the murky underbelly of legacy and power in a coastal town where the Buckley family has long reigned supreme. But with patriarch Harlan sidelined by medical issues, the cracks in their empire begin to show. Show creator Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek) is no stranger to beautiful people making questionable decisions, and this Southern gothic drama looks like it’ll provide just as much lust and betrayal as his past offerings.

11. We Were Liars

Where Can I Watch It? Prime Video 18 June.

If you've finished watching The Summer I Turned Pretty and are looking for a new bingeable series, look no further. We Were Liars brings the bestselling YA novel to the screen with all the allure and emotional wreckage that made it a sensation. Set on a private island off the coast of Massachusetts, the story follows Cadence Sinclair, heir to a wealthy, picture-perfect family whose summer traditions mask deep fractures beneath the surface. When a mysterious accident leaves Cadence with memory loss, she returns to the island to piece together what really happened – and uncovers a truth far more devastating than she ever imagined.
